Director Mohit Suri, along with actor Ahaan Panday and producers from Yash Raj Films, is set to create another romance film after their successful collaboration on “Saiyaara.” This partnership has now been officially confirmed. “Saiyaara” enjoyed immense popularity, becoming one of the highest-grossing romantic films in Indian cinema history, with earnings of nearly Rs. 338 crores in India and roughly Rs. 580 crores worldwide.
The new project, which does not yet have a title, aims to deliver an emotional story paired with beautiful music. The beloved duo, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, are making a comeback, much to the delight of their Gen Z fanbase. Their chemistry and authentic performances were key highlights of “Saiyaara,” and fans are excited to see what they bring to the new film.
Mohit Suri expressed his excitement for the reunion, emphasizing his passion for love stories and his desire to evoke deep emotions through his storytelling. He mentioned that working with the same team felt like coming home and that he is eager to explore new creative paths with this project.
Producer Akshaye Widhani echoed Suri’s sentiments, stating that their collaboration is about creating impactful stories that resonate with people. Filming for this new project will begin later this year, with a planned theatrical release in 2027.
