Nvidia’s CEO Jensen Huang Reaches Out to Employees in Israel
Nvidia’s CEO, Jensen Huang, recently expressed his concern for the company’s employees in Israel amidst ongoing conflict in the region. During the annual Nvidia GTC conference held in San Jose, Huang made a heartfelt address regarding the situation.
Nvidia has approximately 6,000 workers and their families in Israel, and Huang emphasized his worry for their safety. He stated, “We have thousands of families in Israel. I’m very worried about all of you. Keep yourself safe. We are behind you, supporting you, and we look forward to seeing you.” This message highlights the company’s commitment to its employees during challenging times.
When asked about the geopolitical issues, Huang assured that Nvidia plans to maintain its long-standing operations in Israel. Earlier this year, at the CES 2026 technology show, he also voiced support for the Israeli workforce, underscoring the importance of their contributions to the company.
Future Plans in Israel
Huang had previously announced plans to visit Israel in April 2023. However, the ongoing conflict raises uncertainty about this trip. He praised the resilience of Nvidia’s Israeli team, stating, “The sacrifices they make for each other, for their country, are incredible.”
Several essential Nvidia technologies, like the BlueField-4 chip and various advanced networking components, were developed in Israel, marking it as a crucial part of Nvidia’s innovation strategy. Since acquiring Mellanox for $6.9 billion in 2019, Nvidia has significantly improved its presence in Israel, turning its Yokneam office into a key hub.
Nvidia also plans to build a new campus in Kiryat Tivon, a venture expected to create around 10,000 jobs. Huang noted, “Israel is home to some of the world’s most brilliant technologists and has become Nvidia’s second home. Our new campus will be a place where our teams can collaborate, invent, and build the future of AI. This investment shows our ongoing commitment to our families in Israel and their vital role in the AI era.”
