The Cuban government attributes the deteriorating situation to U.S. sanctions and a lack of oil shipments, particularly from Venezuela, which has been one of Cuba’s main suppliers. President Miguel Díaz-Canel recently acknowledged discussions with the U.S. government amid this crisis, marking a noteworthy development in diplomatic conversations between the two nations.
