The West Indies and South Africa cricket teams are set to leave India on Tuesday. They will take a shared charter flight to Johannesburg after the T20 World Cup wraps up. Once they arrive in Johannesburg, the West Indies team will head to Antigua.

Both teams had been stuck in India for several days due to airspace restrictions linked to ongoing conflicts in the Middle East.

Currently, there are 12 players from the West Indies still in India, along with 10 support staff members. South Africa has 12 players and two support staff remaining. The flight is scheduled to depart at 2:30 PM.

In related news, West Indies coach Darren Sammy is expected to leave for Singapore later tonight, with three players taking a different route. Meanwhile, three South African players have already traveled to New Zealand for a series that includes five T20 matches starting on March 15.

The change in travel plans was necessary due to the closure of airspace in West Asia following recent military actions involving the U.S. and Israel.

The West Indies team has been in Kolkata since their last Super Eights match against India on March 1, while South Africa has been unable to leave after their semi-final loss to New Zealand on March 4 at Eden Gardens.
