Capgemini and McDonald’s Extend Partnership for Five More Years

Capgemini has announced that it is renewing its partnership with McDonald’s for an additional five years. This agreement will help both companies advance modern technologies for customers and employees alike.

This initiative is part of McDonald’s broader “Accelerating the Arches” strategy, which aims to enhance the dining experience. By the end of next year, the fast-food giant hopes to have 250 million loyal customers and generate $45 billion in annual sales from these loyalty members.

As part of the growth strategy, McDonald’s also plans to connect many of its restaurants to Google Cloud technology. This renewed partnership marks the next step in McDonald’s digital evolution, focusing on boosting revenue and overall business value.

In the coming five years, efforts will center on modernizing restaurants, improving technology for consumers, speeding up the introduction of new digital features, and adopting more cost-effective operational methods, all supported by artificial intelligence (AI).

Under this renewed contract, Capgemini will continue to deliver engineering, deployment, and support services for digital channels and in-restaurant technology across McDonald’s global operations.

Brian Rice, McDonald’s Global Chief Information Officer, noted that the goal is to modernize restaurants while enhancing both customer and crew experiences. He commented, “As we reimagine how we work together, we are unlocking new possibilities with trusted partners like Capgemini.”

Capgemini uses AI and advanced analytics to support McDonald’s overall technology and public cloud initiatives. Anirban Bose, CEO of Capgemini Americas, expressed enthusiasm for continuing this partnership, indicating a joint commitment to shaping the future dining experience.

For over a decade, Capgemini has played a significant role in McDonald’s digital transformation. Recently, McDonald’s also revealed plans to invest over €150 million in its business in Ireland.

This collaboration demonstrates both companies’ dedication to creating innovative restaurant experiences for the future.
