Virat Kohli Connects with Fans in Australia Ahead of ODI Series

Star Indian cricketer Virat Kohli had a warm encounter with a Pakistani fan while in Australia, signing autographs on both India and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) jerseys. This meeting took place just before Kohli’s highly anticipated return to international cricket after a seven-month break, as he prepares for a three-match ODI series against Australia.

Leading up to the series, Kohli has received a hearty welcome from Australian fans who have come out in large numbers to see him play. The touching moment with the Pakistani fan has gone viral on social media, showing the fan excitedly asking Kohli for his autograph, which the cricketer happily provided. Former Indian captain Rohit Sharma also joined in, signing the fan’s India jersey.

In another scene, a young fan was spotted running in excitement after getting Kohli’s autograph in Perth, just before the first ODI against Australia. Kohli appeared focused during India’s practice session in Perth, gearing up to rejoin the team after a long hiatus since the Champions Trophy.

Fans outside the training venue expressed their delight when both Kohli and Rohit Sharma participated in the optional practice session, shaking off the cobwebs ahead of Sunday’s match. Kohli began with catching drills on the same turf where he scored his last Test century nearly a year ago, then dedicated around 40 minutes to batting practice against bowlers including Harshit Rana and Mohammed Siraj.

While there were a few challenging moments during practice, Kohli looked confident and ready for what could be a lively game on a pitch that might present damp conditions, unlike the usual Perth sunshine. Kohli boasts an impressive record in Australia, having scored 1,327 runs in 29 innings at an average of 51.03, including five centuries and six fifties.

As Kohli gears up for the matches, fans are eager to see him back in action.
