Jaipur: Property of Deceased Gangster Demolished
In a significant move, the district administration in Didwana-Kuchaman demolished a multi-storey mansion connected to the late gangster Anandpal Singh on Wednesday. This action comes nearly eight years following his death in a police shootout.
According to police officials, the farmhouse had been seized back in 2016 when Singh was still at large. Once a refuge for Singh, the mansion was heavily fortified, with thick iron plates reinforcing every door and window to defend against potential attacks. The interior walls featured small openings, believed to be used for shooting back during police raids.
Sources indicate that Singh used the farmhouse as a base for several months before going into hiding, and it was reportedly a site for ransom kidnappings. An official described the property as a symbol of Singh’s defiance, stating that many of his associates frequently congregated there.
