IPL 2025: Rajat Patidar Praises RCB Bowlers for Their Fearless Resurgence Against RR

Rajat Patidar praised the bowlers of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for their impressive performance in a nail-biting 11-run victory against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. This match was part of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.

In the match, RCB set a challenging target of 205 runs. Despite a strong start from RR, who scored 113 runs within their first 10 overs while losing three wickets, they struggled in the latter part of their innings. With 93 runs needed off 60 balls, RR faltered and could not reach the target. Patidar commended the RCB bowlers for their grit and determination, especially during the critical moments of RR’s chase.

“It was a very important win for us. The pitch played differently than what we expected. The bowlers deserve all the credit for how they fought back after the 10th over. Their courage was fantastic,” Patidar shared during the post-match presentation.

### ‘It Felt Like a Tight Contest’

Patidar acknowledged that the RCB squad felt the pressure as the RR batters were performing exceptionally well. He mentioned that taking wickets at crucial times was vital in maintaining pressure on the opposition.

“Initially, RR batted wonderfully, and we knew it could be a close match. We were focused on getting wickets because that’s the only way to control the flow of runs. I always trust my instincts, but having a strong group of leaders really helps with their insights and ideas,” he added.

With this victory, RCB moved up to third place in the standings with 12 points and a net run rate of +0.482, breaking their home losing streak of three matches in this IPL season.

Next up, RCB will face Axar Patel’s Delhi Capitals on Sunday, April 27, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
