Indian trap shooter Neeru Dhanda made headlines by clinching three medals at the Asian Games held in Japan. However, her proud parents missed the momentous occasion as they didn’t have a TV at home to watch her compete. To help them celebrate their daughter’s success, the India Today and Aaj Tak teams visited their home and gifted them a brand-new television.
Her mother, Sudesh Devi, welcomed the new addition with a traditional tilak made of turmeric paste, a symbol of blessings and good fortune in Indian culture. With her husband, Suresh, Sudesh is now excited to watch Neeru as she prepares to aim for gold at the upcoming 2028 Olympic Games. The family’s joy and enthusiasm highlight the importance of support and togetherness as Neeru continues her journey in sports.
