Anduril Offers Employees Stock Sale Amid Huge Valuation Boost
At the Farnborough International Air Show 2026 in England, the logo of defense technology startup Anduril stood out prominently. The company has exciting news for its employees. They will have the opportunity to sell their stock through a tender offer, which values Anduril at nearly $90 billion.
This information was first reported by Bloomberg, which mentioned that Anduril confirmed the details. Employees can sell their shares for $94.80 each, with the offer running from October 13 to November 9. The total amount available for this stock sale is capped at $1.3 billion and will include participants from 16 countries.
Anduril has been thriving in the booming defense tech sector in the U.S., benefiting from increased military spending and initiatives to strengthen the military. Earlier this year, the company announced the closing of a funding round that raised $5 billion, boosting its valuation to $61 billion.
Co-founder Palmer Luckey, known for creating the Oculus VR headset, is among several leaders in the defense tech industry stepping into advisory roles in Washington. They are competing for significant contracts with the Department of Defense. Recently, Anduril secured a contract with a U.S. Navy shipyard valued at up to $2.9 billion. This deal came shortly after Luckey was appointed as a co-director of Project Meridian, a program aimed at enhancing military capabilities. Notably, Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX, is also involved in this venture.
Founded in 2017, Anduril has quickly made a name for itself with its innovative drones, augmented reality headsets, and AI software designed for the U.S. government and its allies. Just last month, the company made headlines when Iran announced it had captured one of its underwater drones, showcasing the high stakes and visibility of the technologies they are developing.
