On October 9, 2026, Prime Video made an exciting announcement about the global streaming premiere of Vishesh Bhatt’s film, Awarapan 2. This Hindi action drama sees the return of Emraan Hashmi in one of his most iconic roles as Shivam. This new installment comes nearly twenty years after the original film, Awarapan, directed by Mohit Suri, which left a significant mark on viewers with its compelling story, memorable music, and a deep and thoughtful lead character.
Directed by Nitin Kakkar, Awarapan 2 continues the journey of Shivam, blending high-energy action with the emotional depth that fans loved from the first film. Alongside Hashmi, the cast includes Disha Patani, Shabana Azmi, Puran Gabbi, Vijayant Kohli, and Suvinder Vicky, who all play important roles in this story set against a backdrop of the criminal underworld, filled with romance, action, and drama.
The film takes viewers to a quiet village in Rajasthan where Shivam is seen mourning at the grave of his beloved. Struggling with guilt from his past and having distanced himself from a life of crime, he has settled into solitude. However, an unexpected connection starts to awaken feelings in him that he thought were long gone—offering him a glimmer of hope and a reason to change.
But fate has other plans for him. As he gets pulled into the dangerous world of cartels in Bangkok, Shivam is compelled to confront his dark past once more. He finds himself caught in a web of violence and betrayal while also discovering a chance for love. As his emotional journey unfolds, he must grapple with the choices he has made and determine what truly matters to him.
With its blend of nostalgia, intense action, and emotional storytelling, Awarapan 2 promises to deliver a captivating experience for both old fans and new viewers alike.
