Reliance Foundation Ignites the Future of Grassroots Sports in India

Before champions hold medals and stand on podiums, they all begin their journey somewhere. The Reliance Foundation’s recent campaign for the 2026 Asian Games focuses on the crucial opportunities that help children discover their potential.

The campaign, titled ‘Taqdeer Badalna Bachchon Ka Khel Hai,’ was created by TBWA\Lintas, part of Omnicom Advertising India. At its heart lies a simple belief: every child deserves a chance.

India brims with sporting talent. From playgrounds in schools to local fields and community spaces, potential is found everywhere. However, talent alone isn’t enough; children need access to coaching, proper facilities, and encouragement to truly thrive.

The campaign emphasizes an important idea: while belief often follows success, opportunities must come first. A child can’t become a champion without someone giving them a chance to play, to train, to stumble, to learn, and to dream. This is where the Reliance Foundation plays a vital role in supporting Indian sports.

Through various initiatives aimed at promoting sports development, the Reliance Foundation works to create pathways for grassroots participation, talent discovery, coaching, and high-performance opportunities. The ultimate goal is to help Indian athletes succeed on the world stage, aligning with Mrs. Nita M. Ambani’s vision of enriching the sports landscape in India.

The Asian Games serve as a fitting backdrop for this campaign. As Indian athletes compete, their stories remind us that the stars of today were once young children who just needed someone to open a door for them. This campaign highlights the moments that lead to victory: the initial opportunity, the first coach, the first training ground, and the first supporter who believed in their dream.

Sarvesh Raikar, president of creative at TBWA\Lintas, shared his thoughts on the campaign, stating, “Hearing the stories of our champions has been deeply inspiring. They demonstrate that India can nurture world-class athletes from every corner of the nation, but we must provide them with opportunities. To see India among the top nations at the Olympics, it’s vital that we invest in today’s children. When we give them a chance, we enable our country to transform its future in sports. This campaign aims to help everyone recognize that sports are more than just games – they are a powerful way to build a better future for our youth. We are honored to partner with Reliance Foundation in making this change happen.”
