Prime Video has just released the teaser for the new romantic comedy film, Don’t Be Shy, produced by Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt under their banner, Eternal Sunshine Productions. The film features young talents Aarushi Bajaj, Piyush Khati, Bianca Arora, and Ansh Duggal in leading roles.
Directed by Sreeti Mukerji, Don’t Be Shy tells the story of Shyamili ‘Shy’ Das, a 20-year-old who thinks she has everything under control until life throws some unexpected challenges her way. The teaser highlights her journey through friendships, romantic encounters, and the many uncertainties that come with growing up.
In the film, Aarushi Bajaj portrays Shy, while Piyush Khati, Bianca Arora, and Ansh Duggal play her friends Mayank, Tara, and Dhruv, respectively. Viewers get a sneak peek into their college life filled with love, laughter, and the trials of emerging adulthood.
As the characters experience first loves, heartbreaks, and the quest for identity, the film captures the essence of youthful adventures. Along with the fresh cast, the movie also stars Kunaal Roy Kapur, Anurag Basu, Neha Dhupia, and Anju Alva Naik in significant roles.
Don’t Be Shy represents another creative endeavor for Alia and Shaheen Bhatt, who have previously been involved in projects like Darlings, Jigra, and Poacher.
The film will co-produced by Grishma Shah and Vikesh Bhutani from Chalkboard Entertainment, and it is set to stream on Prime Video in Hindi with English subtitles starting September 25, 2026. It will be available not just in India, but in over 240 countries and territories worldwide.
