CJP Founder Calls for Apology from PM Modi After Police Action on Students
On Saturday, Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to apologize for the police’s treatment of young students during the Sansad March in Delhi on July 20. He highlighted that police officers used excessive force against “12-year-old children” during the incident.
In a video message shared on social media, Dipke referred to a recent video where PM Modi expressed forgiveness toward students who had used harsh words against him. He expressed hope that the Prime Minister would consider issuing a second video, this time offering an apology for the police brutality.
Dipke stated, “Yesterday, we saw Modi Ji forgiving the children. I hope he will upload another video tonight to apologize for the lathi charge that happened on July 20. I’ve heard reports that 12-year-old girls were struck on their heads, and there were allegations of police hitting girls inappropriately.”
He added, “Therefore, I want Modiji to apologize to those girls who suffered due to such brutality.”
PM Modi’s Video Message
In a video released on Friday, PM Modi mentioned that he forgives the students who insulted him and his late mother during a protest at Jantar Mantar. He referred to these students as “misguided children” who need guidance rather than punishment.
The Prime Minister acknowledged the hurtful language used by some protesters, stating it was not appropriate for any civilized society. He emphasized the need to reform these students rather than pursue legal action against them. “While anger is understandable, especially over the language used by young women, we should focus on showing them the right path,” he said.
Modi urged society to support these students rather than punish them for their mistakes. He compared the situation to a tongue accidentally getting bitten by teeth, explaining that just as we don’t punish our teeth for that, we shouldn’t abandon our own children for their missteps.
Encouraging the students, he invited them to contribute positively to the nation’s future. “Come, let’s move forward together for the country. I live for you and work for your bright future,” Modi said.
This call for unity and understanding from the Prime Minister coincided with the registration of a Zero FIR concerning a viral video showing a young girl using disrespectful language against him during the protest.
