Aamir Khan Productions, Kabir Khan Films, and Australia’s Mind Blowing Films have teamed up to create Silkyara 41, a feature film based on the remarkable rescue operation at the Silkyara Tunnel in Uttarakhand. This project will depict the tense mission that safely brought 41 workers to safety and will highlight the expertise of renowned tunneling specialist Professor Arnold Dix.
The announcement took place on July 9 in both Melbourne and Mumbai, marking a noteworthy moment in the strong relationship between India and Australia. The filmmakers describe Silkyara 41 as a significant Indo-Australian collaboration that combines storytelling talents and production skills from both nations.
Director Kabir Khan, known for films like Bajrangi Bhaijaan and 83, will helm the project, while Australian writer Andrew Anastasios, famed for his work on The Water Diviner, will pen the screenplay. This venture is jointly produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Kabir Khan Films, and Mind Blowing Films.
Aamir Khan expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating, “We are thrilled to announce this collaboration between Mind Blowing Films and Aamir Khan Productions.
