OnePlus has rolled out an exciting new smartphone line called the N Series, aimed at the young and vibrant Gen Z in India. The first device from this series, the OnePlus N6, is set to hit the market on June 30.
This move marks a strategic shift for OnePlus in India, as they plan to categorize their smartphones into three clear price ranges, allowing them to reach a broader audience:
- N Series (₹18,000 – ₹25,000): Designed for Gen Z, this range makes key OnePlus features accessible at an affordable price.
- Nord Series (₹25,000 – ₹50,000): Targets buyers seeking high-end features without the flagship price tag.
- Flagship Series (over ₹50,000): Offers premium devices packed with cutting-edge technology.
OnePlus executives note that the needs of younger users are changing rapidly. Many now use their smartphones as their primary device for entertainment, online learning, casual gaming, and content creation.
Ford, the vice-president of OnePlus India, shared that the ₹18,000 – ₹25,000 segment is crucial in India’s smartphone market and is also evolving quickly. He explained the branding philosophy behind the N Series: “N stands for New, Neo, and Never Off. We are stepping into a new era where we provide continuous power to keep users active without compromise.”
The N Series will emphasize three key pillars: extended battery life, smooth performance, and clever product design, ensuring it meets the expectations of the younger generation.
