Marriott International Celebrates 10,000th Property Opening

Marriott International has proudly opened its 10,000th hotel around the globe, marking an important milestone as it approaches its 100th anniversary. The celebrated property is the JW Marriott Ranthambore Resort & Spa, located in India, which is the 11th hotel from the brand in the country.

Anthony Capuano, President and CEO of Marriott International, shared his excitement about this achievement. He noted, “Marriott started 99 years ago with just a small root beer stand, and today, we have grown to a vast portfolio of 10,000 properties across 146 countries and territories.”

The new luxury resort is situated in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan, neighboring the famous Ranthambore National Park, known for its stunning Bengal tigers and the historic Ranthambore Fort. The resort features 127 rooms and villas, offering a variety of dining options that highlight contemporary Indian cuisine, local flavors, and creative botanical dishes.

India remains a focus for Marriott’s growth, with more openings on the horizon. Plans for 2027 include prestigious properties such as The Ritz-Carlton in Mumbai and The St. Regis in New Delhi.
