Lovable Expands Partnership with Google Cloud to Enhance AI Application Development
Lovable, a platform that empowers users to create applications through AI conversation, has significantly expanded its partnership with Google Cloud. This move will enhance Lovable’s infrastructure with a fivefold increase in capacity, including broader access to advanced AI models like Google’s Gemini and Claude by Anthropic.
The platform is achieving remarkable growth, processing over one million new projects every week, with a total of more than 25 million projects since its launch. With around 600 million visits each month, Lovable is becoming a go-to tool for many users.
As of February 2026, Lovable reached a valuation of $6.6 billion after a $330 million Series B funding round. The company has an annual recurring revenue (ARR) of $400 million and counts more than half of the Fortune 500 companies among its clients.
“Our users can now realize their ideas into functional software without needing extensive technical teams,” said Anton Osika, Lovable’s CEO and co-founder. He highlighted how the collaboration with Google Cloud enhances security and reliability for developers.
Founded in late 2023 by Anton Osika and Fabian Hedin, both graduates from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Lovable emerged from Osika’s earlier project, GPT Engineer. Hedin gained recognition as one of Europe’s youngest billionaires after the company’s rapid rise in value.
Lovable has secured $653 million so far over four funding rounds, with its growth outpacing other tech companies like OpenAI. It reached various milestones in ARR within just months, reflecting a fast-moving software landscape.
Key Features of the Google Cloud Deal
The expanded partnership focuses on three main areas. Lovable has launched its Lovable Agent in Google Cloud’s Gemini Enterprise Agent Gallery, allowing businesses access to a network of verified AI agents. Additionally, it has enhanced security through an integration with Wiz, ensuring real-time threat detection for AI-generated code.
Furthermore, the deal provides better access to Anthropic’s Claude models, which are particularly useful for coding. This partnership marks a deeper integration of Lovable’s operations into Google’s AI ecosystem.
Osika expressed enthusiasm about the potential for creators to transition from idea to production more securely and efficiently. Karthik Narain, Google Cloud’s Chief Product and Business Officer, praised Lovable as a leader in the evolving software development landscape.
The Competitive Cloud AI Landscape
Lovable’s expanded collaboration highlights the growing competition among cloud providers aiming to support AI-powered applications. Google’s recent investments, including $10 billion in Anthropic, position it as a key player in the AI infrastructure space. Other companies, such as Mistral AI, are exploring different strategies by building their own infrastructure.
Overview of Market Growth
The global AI market is expected to surge from $390.91 billion in 2025 to an astonishing $3.5 trillion by 2033, showcasing a rapid growth rate. Lovable is part of a vibrant market that includes emerging competitors like Cursor and Replit, all vying for a stake in the booming AI application development sector.
The essential question for the industry is not whether AI will transform software development—it surely will. Instead, the focus is on how platforms like Lovable will maintain their advantage as larger cloud providers compete vigorously to dominate the AI development landscape.
