IPL 2026, LSG vs RCB: Prince Yadav Turns Virat Kohli’s Wisdom on Its Head to Astonish RCB Legend

Prince Yadav’s Brilliant Bowling Dismisses Kohli as LSG Ends Losing Streak

In an exciting IPL match on May 7, 2026, Prince Yadav showcased his talent by taking the critical wicket of cricket superstar Virat Kohli. Playing for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at Ekana Stadium, Yadav’s bowling played a key role in LSG’s narrow victory of nine runs (DLS method).

Kohli, who is known for his exceptional batting skills, found himself out for a rare duck, falling for just two balls. This marked his first scoreless outing in a run chase in nearly nine years. The last time this happened was back in 2017 during a match against Kolkata Knight Riders.

Yadav explained that he had picked up advice from Kohli himself. The batting legend had suggested that Yadav maintain a good length while bowling when there’s movement in the air. Putting this advice to use, Yadav bowled a sharp outswinger before bringing it back in at 140.4 kph, which caught Kohli off-guard and disturbed his off stump, leaving the crowd stunned.

“After the last match, I spoke to Virat bhaiya, and he told me to focus on maintaining a consistent length when the ball is moving,” said Yadav after the match.

In addition to Kohli’s wicket, Prince also took down Devdutt Padikkal and Jitesh Sharma, finishing with impressive bowling figures of 3 wickets for 33 runs in 4 overs. Although he had a challenging final over, conceding 13 runs, his earlier efforts set the tone for Lucknow’s victory.

Currently, Yadav leads the LSG with 16 wickets from 10 matches, showcasing his growth as a key player for the franchise. Despite a shaky start that included a misfield leading to a boundary, Yadav quickly bounced back to deliver a standout performance.

This win not only snapped LSG’s six-match losing streak but also lifted their spirits as they remain in contention for a playoff spot. However, they sit at the bottom of the points table with six points and a net run rate of -0.934.

Looking ahead, LSG will strive to build on their success as they prepare to face the Chennai Super Kings, led by Ruturaj Gaikwad, on May 10 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

Stay tuned for more updates on IPL 2026 and the latest match insights!
