Shraddha Kapoor’s Film Eetha Gets a New Release Date
The much-anticipated film Eetha, featuring Shraddha Kapoor, has confirmed its new release date. Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan, Laxman Utekar, and Karishma Sharma, the movie will hit theaters on December 4, 2026. This announcement settles the previous uncertainty surrounding its release schedule.
Originally set to be released on August 28, the film’s producers recently decided to change the date. Prior reports indicated that the team was considering either advancing or postponing the film’s debut. It became clear that they didn’t want to stick to the original date, leading to today’s announcement.
In a statement about the new date, the producers expressed their excitement: “After the teaser broke all records, the team behind Eetha has delightful news for cinema lovers. Directed by Laxman Utekar and featuring music by Ajay-Atul, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Randeep Hooda, the film promises an engaging narrative this December.”
Eetha is inspired by the life of Vithabai Narayangaonkar, a famous Marathi Tamasha and Lavani performer. Known as Eetha, she rose from humble beginnings to become a celebrated artist in Maharashtra’s folk theater scene. The film highlights her inspiring journey, with Shraddha portraying the role alongside Randeep Hooda and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub.
This project marks the first partnership between Shraddha and director Laxman Utekar. Although they have both previously worked under the Maddock Films banner, this film will showcase a different side of Shraddha, as she takes on a performance-centric role.
The collaboration also reunites producer Dinesh Vijan with Laxman Utekar, who have worked together on past successes such as Luka Chuppi and Mimi.
With the talented duo Ajay-Atul composing the music, Eetha is now eagerly awaited for its theatrical release on December 4, 2026.
