According to the Managing Director of APSDMA, Prakhar Jain, the weather today may involve thunderstorms and lightning in some regions.
Jain urged residents to take precautions against the harsh heat and humidity prevailing throughout the state. He highlighted that on Friday, 252 mandals in 20 districts experienced extreme heat, with temperatures soaring above 41 degrees Celsius.

Currently, a weather trough stretching from South Odisha through Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to Tamil Nadu is affecting the weather. This system is expected to bring light rain and lightning to isolated areas in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Manyam, Alluri, Polavaram, Visakhapatnam, Chittoor, and Tirupati on Saturday.
Fortunately, a slight relief from the heat may occur on Sunday and Monday, as cloud cover and possible rain with gusty winds are anticipated in some districts. The APSDMA advised everyone to remain cautious and take necessary measures to avoid heat-related issues, especially farmers, laborers, and shepherds, who should avoid standing under trees during storms.
