A fashion brand from Pakistan called Wajayesha Official is facing backlash online after posting AI-edited images of Indian actress Alia Bhatt to promote its new collection. This move has raised questions about whether Bhatt had approved the use of her likeness.

The brand shared images that made it look like Bhatt was wearing outfits from their Pure Sheesha Silk collection. They hinted that the actress admired the designs and encouraged people to shop. Their caption read, “EVEN ALIA BHATT LIKE OUR PURE SHEESHA SILK COLLECTION!!”

However, social media users quickly noticed that the images were not authentic campaign photos. Instead of showing the actress in real-life settings, they appeared to be digitally altered, with Bhatt’s face and upper body placed onto the outfits.

This sparked a flurry of reactions online. Many questioned if Bhatt even knew about the campaign, with one user asking, “Does Alia even know about this?” Another warned the brand of potential legal issues, suggesting that Bhatt might take action.

In response to the criticism, the brand replied in a playful tone, asking users to spread the word so that Bhatt could notice the post. When concerns about legal ramifications were raised again, they confidently responded, “No she will not.”

As of now, Alia Bhatt has not commented on the use of the altered images or the promotional campaign.
