Banijay Asia to Produce Hindi Adaptation of The Alliance for Prime Video India
Banijay Asia, a part of the major media company Banijay Entertainment, is excited to announce its plans to create the first international version of Talpa Studios’ hit reality show, The Alliance. This Hindi-language adaptation will debut on Prime Video India, showcasing Banijay Asia’s talent for localizing global content.
The Alliance has been a huge success in the Netherlands for the past three years, known for its strategic gameplay and the ever-changing dynamics among contestants. The Indian version aims to offer a thrilling social strategy game, tailor-made for Indian viewers. Contestants will need to navigate tricky relationships, as shifting alliances and loyalties pose challenges. In a society where connections matter, only one player will walk away with the ultimate prize.
Deepak Dhar, Founder and CEO of Banijay Asia, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration: “Our strong partnerships with streamers in India have allowed us to create unique content. Prime Video India has been a key supporter of this project, making it the ideal platform for such a large-scale adaptation.”
Sebastian van Barneveld, Director of Global Distribution at Talpa Studios, highlighted the show’s success in the Netherlands: “This format has dominated prime time with record ratings. Watching The Alliance expand into India is a proud moment for us, and we couldn’t have asked for better partners than Banijay Asia.”
Mrinalini Jain, the Chief Development Officer at Banijay Asia and Endemol Shine India, mentioned their commitment to delivering fresh and culturally relevant entertainment. “At Banijay Asia, we strive to create engaging shows while honoring local culture. With Prime Video India’s support, The Alliance will embody this vision.”
In the Netherlands, The Alliance has become the top-rated long-running reality series on SBS6, regularly achieving impressive viewership numbers. In early 2026, it boasted a significant 20.8% market share among the key demographic of 25 to 59-year-olds, outperforming its channel’s average. The show also ranks as a top title on the streaming platform KIJK and continues to engage an enthusiastic audience on social media.
As the excitement builds for its new adaptation, The Alliance is set to bring a unique blend of strategy and social dynamics to Indian audiences.
