CES 2026: Innovations Shaping Our Daily Lives

New Delhi: The recent CES 2026, held from January 6 to 9 in Las Vegas, brought together a mix of global companies, start-ups, and leaders to showcase groundbreaking technology that is changing everyday living. Among the highlights were robot taxis, helpful humanoids, and a revolutionary AI chef designed to prepare over 500 different dishes.

A New Era of Robotics

Robots were the stars of the show at CES 2026. They showcased a variety of designs and abilities, hinting at how integral they will be to our future. From robots that can fold laundry and play games like chess to those capable of performing complex surgeries, the variety was impressive. Many companies displayed humanoid robots designed to interact and assist with daily tasks, highlighting their potential to enhance our lives.

Exciting Exhibits on Display

One of the major attractions was SenseRobot from Hong Kong, which featured impressive chess-playing robots. These machines could challenge players or serve as coaches, thanks to advanced AI technology that allows them to analyze moves and strategies.

Also making waves at the event was Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) with their theme ‘Engineering the Future, Intelligent by Design.’ They discussed advancements in autonomous transport, AI robotics, and other emerging technologies aimed at improving everyday experiences.

Transforming Travel with Intelligent Mobility

This year’s CES shifted focus from electric vehicles to intelligent mobility. California-based Pliyt showcased their futuristic autonomous pods. These sleek vehicles feature individual compartments with screens for video calls and gaming, aiming to launch their first pilot program by 2028.

A standout at CES Unveiled was the AI-powered robo-chef named Nosh. This device can whip up dishes from various cuisines, including American, Italian, and Indian, making cooking easier than ever.

Tech for Home and Emotional Wellness

Also featured were multi-purpose robots from DYNA, including a humanoid that can fold laundry. Sharpa introduced “North,” a full-body robot capable of playing ping-pong and engaging in complex crafts.

A significant trend this year focused on emotional support technologies. The Chinese company Hengbot Innovation Ltd presented “Sirius,” a robotic dog designed to provide companionship, especially for the elderly. Similarly, Ludens AI introduced “Cocomo,” an AI companion that develops bonds and interacts with users.

CES 2026 opened the door to exciting technologies that promise to reshape our lives, highlighting how innovation can enhance both practical tasks and emotional well-being.
