Joyride Leads to Christmas Tree Crash in Kazakhstan
A wild late-night joyride in Saryagash, Kazakhstan, ended dramatically when a driver crashed into a large Christmas tree in the main square. This incident was captured on CCTV footage, showing the driver speeding in a Lada sedan and performing donuts before losing control.
Around 3 a.m., the driver, while attempting a second spin, veered toward the 40-foot holiday tree and collided with it, causing the decorated tree to fall over. Witnesses reported hearing the tires screech as he dodged street furniture and festive decorations just moments before the crash.
After the impact, which scattered lights and ornaments across the ground, the driver fled the scene. Local police were quickly notified and reviewed the surveillance footage to identify the driver. Officers confirmed he was driving a VAZ-2105 Lada.
Authorities tracked the driver down after analyzing the CCTV images, and the car was impounded. He was fined for reckless driving and ordered to repair the damaged tree. The young driver agreed to fix the tree and promised to avoid similar behavior in the future.
