Community Support Grows for 120 Bahadur as Film Receives Positive Reviews
The war drama 120 Bahadur, created by Excel Entertainment and Trigger Happy Studios, premiered in theaters on November 21 and is gaining popularity among audiences. The film, which has received positive early reviews from both critics and viewers, has sparked a wave of interest from schools and residential societies.
In various cities, schools have begun organizing special screenings for students. Many educators see this movie as a chance to teach younger audiences about a significant moment in India’s military history. They believe the film presents a clear depiction of bravery and dedication, helping students appreciate the concept of serving their country through an authentic historical event.
Residential societies are also getting involved. One cooperative housing society recently encouraged all residents to watch the movie together, emphasizing the importance of recognizing the sacrifices made by the 13 Kumaon Regiment. The society’s notice encouraged everyone to join in a collective viewing, stating, “Let’s come together to watch 120 Bahadur in theaters and honor the heroes who served our nation.”

120 Bahadur tells the story of 120 brave soldiers from the 13 Kumaon Regiment who fought valiantly in the Battle of Rezang La during the 1962 war. Notably, Farhan Akhtar stars as Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, the Param Vir Chakra medalist who led these courageous troops. The film showcases the fortitude of the regiment, encapsulated in the powerful phrase, “Hum Peechhe Nahin Hatenge,” reflecting their determination even in the face of great challenges.
Directed by Razneesh ‘Razy’ Ghai and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, and Amit Chandrra, 120 Bahadur is currently showing in cinemas nationwide.
