Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has responded to the rumors surrounding megastar Chiranjeevi’s involvement in the highly awaited film Spirit, featuring Prabhas. Addressing the buzz on social media, Vanga clarified that Chiranjeevi will not be appearing in the film, nor will he be playing Prabhas’ father.
In a recent chat with the Jigris team, Vanga stated, “Chiranjeevi is not playing Prabhas’ father or any role in the movie.” This statement puts to rest many speculations that had been circulating.
Additionally, there have been whispers about South Korean actor Ma Dong-seok, also known as Don Lee, possibly joining the cast as the antagonist. However, Vanga remained tight-lipped about Lee’s involvement, keeping fans guessing about who the villain might be.
Spirit is shaping up to be an intense cop action drama, showcasing Prabhas in a unique role as a daring IPS officer who ends up in jail. The film also features actors Triptii Dimri, Vivek Oberoi, and Prakash Raj in important roles. Recently, the makers released an engaging “sound story” teaser on Prabhas’s birthday, captivating fans with its audio elements and building excitement for the film’s 2026 release.
Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi is preparing for his upcoming film Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, directed by Anil Ravipudi, which is set to hit theaters next year.
