Maddock Films has just released the long-awaited trailer for Ikkis, a film honoring Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, who holds the title of India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra awardee. Directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Sriram Raghavan, this movie marks the first appearance of Agastya Nanda, the grandson of iconic actor Amitabh Bachchan. Agastya portrays the 21-year-old war hero whose bravery has left a lasting legacy.

The film’s tagline, “Woh Ikkis ka tha, Ikkis ka hi rahega,” perfectly embodies its spirit, paying tribute to the fearless youth and the selfless bravery of that era. Ikkis sheds light on Khetarpal’s remarkable courage during the 1971 Indo-Pak war, highlighting not just the chaos of battle but also the emotional journey of a young soldier fueled by his love for his country.

Agastya Nanda, who recently debuted in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies on Netflix, is stepping into a more challenging role that has already garnered significant attention. The trailer has been widely praised by fans and critics alike, who are impressed by Agastya’s strong screen presence and Raghavan’s masterful storytelling.

In a show of support, Abhishek Bachchan shared the trailer on Instagram, encouraging his nephew as he embarks on this exciting new chapter. The Bachchan family has consistently backed Agastya, especially during his initial foray into acting.

Ikkis, produced by Maddock Films, boasts a stellar cast, including celebrated actors Dharmendra, Jaideep Ahlawat, Simar Bhatia, Deepak Dobriyal, Sikandar Kher, and Rahul Dev, among others.

Scheduled to release in theaters this December, Ikkis promises to be an emotional and inspiring film that celebrates one of India’s most remarkable young heroes.
