Upcoming Presentation on Brain Health
On October 15, Calvin Hara, a community educator from the Alzheimer’s Association Hawaii Chapter, will be sharing valuable insights at the Rotary Club of Kihei-Wailea. His talk, titled “Ten Healthy Habits for Your Brain,” aims to help attendees understand how to maintain brain health as they age.
Calvin brings over 30 years of experience in senior care management, having worked in both California and Hawaii. His dedication to this cause is also personal; he has been a family caregiver for his mother and uncle.
In addition to his role at the Alzheimer’s Association, Hara volunteers with the Alzheimer’s/Dementia Rotary Action Group, focusing on community education and public policy advocacy.
The event will be held at Kihei Lutheran Church, located at 220 Moi Place in Kihei. Attendees are invited to enjoy social time and a light lunch starting at 11:15 a.m., followed by Hara’s presentation from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Everyone is welcome to join in and learn more about brain health.
