For those in need of medical supplies, the GST on most medicines, medical devices like glucometers, and diagnostic kits has been lowered to 5%. This shift will help reduce the cost of medical care for the average person. Home builders also stand to gain, as the GST on cement has been decreased from 28% to 18%.
The government has instructed pharmacies to adjust their prices accordingly, allowing them to sell medicines at lower rates due to these tax benefits.
