Manoj Bajpayee and Ram Gopal Varma Reunite for Horror Comedy

Renowned actor Manoj Bajpayee is set to explore a new genre—horror comedy—with his latest project titled Police Station Mein Bhoot. The exciting news surfaced on September 1, as the film’s team released a captivating motion poster featuring Bajpayee in a striking, spooky role.

The poster reveals Bajpayee dressed in a police uniform, grasping a frightening, shabby doll covered in mud and blood, lending an eerie feel to the scene. This intense imagery has quickly captured the attention of fans, hinting at a unique combination of thrills and humor.

Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Bajpayee expressed his enthusiasm: “#PoliceStationMeinBhoot SHOOT BEGINS. From Satya to now… some journeys are meant to come full circle. Thrilled to reunite with @RGVzoomIn after nearly three decades for our new horror comedy Police Station Mein Bhoot. This one is special.”

The post quickly went viral, drawing excitement not just for Bajpayee’s intriguing look but also for the long-awaited collaboration between him and director Ram Gopal Varma. Their previous partnership, which began with the iconic film Satya in 1998, was a significant milestone for Bajpayee, showcasing his unforgettable role as Bhiku Mhatre. Now, nearly thirty years later, they are set to embark on an entirely different adventure.

Adding to the anticipation is the presence of Genelia Deshmukh, who is expected to play a vital role in the film. Genelia, last seen in Sitaare Zameen Par, is returning to the big screen in this quirky horror comedy alongside Bajpayee, stirring excitement among fans.

Police Station Mein Bhoot is being produced by Vauve Emirates Media Production and Karma Media and Entertainment. While the film’s storyline remains a mystery, the title and initial visuals suggest a thrilling yet comedic experience blending classic horror elements with laugh-inducing scenes.

As 2025 continues, Manoj Bajpayee is also gearing up for his Netflix release, Inspector Zende, premiering on September 5, where he stars alongside Jim Sarbh. With his partnership with Ram Gopal Varma and the involvement of Genelia, Police Station Mein Bhoot is already being hailed as one of the year’s most awaited films.
