23 Injured in Amusement Park Ride Accident in Saudi Arabia

A serious incident occurred at Green Mountain Park in Taif, Saudi Arabia, where an amusement park ride malfunctioned, resulting in 23 people getting injured, including three who are in critical condition.

Witnesses reported that the ride, which features a design allowing it to spin 360 degrees, began swinging violently before a crucial part snapped off, causing riders to fall. The sounds of screams filled the air as those on the ride plummeted to the ground.

Despite being strapped in, many riders were hurt due to the abrupt movement of the ride’s central pole. Eyewitnesses described the scene as chaotic, with injured riders receiving immediate first aid before being taken to nearby hospitals.

Authorities are currently investigating what led to this unfortunate event, and the ride has been closed off for examination.

This incident comes amid other recent ride malfunctions. Cedar Point amusement park in Ohio has also faced issues with its attractions, where riders have become stuck multiple times.

In an unrelated incident last October, a horrifying video from Ecuador showed two gondola cars detaching from a ride, injuring ten people, with six in critical condition.

As investigations continue, many are expressing concern about ride safety at amusement parks.
