This Week’s UK Tech Funding Update

In the latest round of tech investments in the UK, several startups have secured funding, including the embedded insurtech platform Wrisk and the AI customer service company Gradient Labs.

Between July 7 to July 11, a total of £32.05 million was invested in the UK tech sector, which is a decline of 46% from the previous week. Here’s a look at some of the notable funding deals:

Wrisk – £12 Million

  • Investors: Mundi Ventures and Opera Tech Ventures

Established in 2016, Wrisk focuses on providing insurance solutions specifically for the auto industry.

Gradient Labs – £9.5 Million

  • Funding Stage: Series A
  • Investors: Redpoint Ventures, with contributions from Exceptional Capital, Liquid 2, LocalGlobe, and Puzzle Ventures

Founded this year, Gradient Labs is dedicated to creating AI-powered customer service agents aimed at the financial sector.

This week’s investment activity highlights the ongoing interest in both insurtech and AI innovations in the UK market.
