Tottenham Hotspur Appoints Thomas Frank as New Manager
Tottenham Hotspur has officially named Thomas Frank as their new manager following the dismissal of Ange Postecoglou. The announcement was made on Thursday, June 12, and Frank joins the club with a three-year contract. He becomes the 13th manager in Tottenham’s history.
Previously at Brentford, Frank turned the team into a strong competitor in the Premier League, leading them to a commendable 10th place finish last season.
Postecoglou, despite having won the Europa League, was let go on June 6 after Tottenham’s disappointing performance that saw them end up 17th in the league.
In their statement, Spurs expressed excitement about Frank’s appointment, highlighting him as one of the most innovative coaches in football today. He will be supported by a new staff, including Justin Cochrane, Chris Haslam, and Joe Newton, with Andreas Georgson also joining from Manchester United.
"We are thrilled to welcome Thomas Frank as our new Head Coach on a contract until 2028," the club stated. "His track record in developing players and teams is impressive, and we look forward to his leadership as we gear up for the upcoming season."
Frank dedicated the last seven years to managing Brentford, where he helped the team rise through the ranks, achieving promotion in 2021. Prior to Brentford, he had a coaching career in Denmark.
Stay tuned for more updates on Frank’s journey with Spurs as they prepare for the new season ahead.
