Defence Minister Highlights Success of Operation Sindoor at BrahMos Missile Plant Inauguration
On Sunday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated a new BrahMos missile manufacturing facility and discussed the significant impact of Operation Sindoor. He stated that the Indian Army has effectively brought justice to the families affected by terrorist attacks. “Through Operation Sindoor, we have held accountable those anti-India groups that have caused harm to our nation. The entire country is grateful for the bravery of our forces,” he expressed.
Singh noted that Operation Sindoor goes beyond being a mere military mission; it signifies India’s strong political and strategic stance against terrorism. “This operation showcases our unwavering commitment to combating terrorism and highlights our military’s strength. We have demonstrated that whenever India takes action against terrorism, even those behind the attacks won’t feel safe,” he said.
According to Singh, the operation aims to dismantle terrorist networks in Pakistan without targeting civilian populations. He pointed out that while India exercises restraint, Pakistan has attacked Indian civilian areas and even places of worship.
He commended the Indian Army for its bravery and composure. “Our forces responded decisively by targeting military positions in Pakistan. The results of our operations were felt beyond the borders, even reaching Rawalpindi, where the headquarters of the Pakistani army is based,” Singh remarked.
Reflecting on previous operations, he mentioned the world witnessed India’s firm response following the Uri and Pulwama attacks. “After the Uri incident, we executed surgical strikes. In response to Pulwama, we conducted airstrikes in Balakot. Now, following Pahalgam, we are continuing to strike inside Pakistan,” he added.
In his closing remarks, Singh reaffirmed the government’s strong stance against terrorism. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made it clear — India has changed, and we will respond firmly to terrorism, irrespective of where it originates,” he concluded.
