In a lighthearted moment following their victory against Rajasthan Royals, players from Royal Challengers Bengaluru decided to pull a prank on superstar Virat Kohli. Tim David, one of RCB’s players, cleverly hid one of Kohli’s bats in his own kit, waiting for the iconic batsman to discover the mischief.
When Kohli entered the dressing room, he quickly noticed that one of his bats was missing, leaving him with only six. He questioned his teammates and even the coaching staff, but they all played coy, refusing to reveal where his bat was. A bit irritated, Kohli began searching the dressing room until he stumbled upon his missing bat tucked away inside Tim David’s kit.
Confronting David, Kohli found himself in a humorous exchange as the Australian batsman jokingly claimed he had merely “borrowed” the bat. In a fun twist, David pointed out that Kohli didn’t seem overly concerned about his lost bat, especially after scoring a fantastic fifty against Rajasthan.
On that exciting Sunday at Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur, RCB comfortably defeated the Rajasthan Royals by nine wickets. The team’s bowlers were impressive in the first innings, setting up the win. In pursuit of a target of 174 runs, Phil Salt’s aggressive batting helped set the pace for RCB’s chase.
Kohli played a key role in the innings, notching up his third fifty of the season and increasing his runs to 248 over six matches.
