A.R. Rahman, the renowned music composer, was hospitalized early Sunday after experiencing chest pain. However, new information reveals that his condition was mainly due to dehydration. He has since been discharged and is now recovering at home. His son, A.R. Ameen, reassured fans about his father’s health via an Instagram post.
Ameen expressed heartfelt thanks for the outpouring of support from fans and well-wishers, stating, “To all our dear fans, family, and well-wishers, I sincerely thank you for your love, prayers, and support. My father felt a bit weak due to dehydration, which led us to conduct some routine tests. I’m happy to share that he is doing well now.” He emphasized how much their kind words mean to the family and shared a picture of his father’s health report from the hospital.
Referring to Rahman’s recent hospitalization, his manager confirmed that it was not a serious issue. He noted, “He has just come back home. He is perfectly fine. The doctors conducted some tests, and everything was normal.” Rahman’s sister also mentioned that while he had been dealing with dehydration and gastric issues, it was nothing severe.
At 58 years old, Rahman is celebrated for his significant contributions to both Indian and international music. Following the news of his health scare, many fans and industry peers took to social media to express their concern and support.
With A.R. Rahman on the mend, fans can now relax knowing that the music maestro is resting and recuperating at home.
