Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce Launches 2025 Business Awards
On Wednesday, CEO Paul Britton announced the 2025 Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce Business Awards, calling them “an antidote to what’s going on in the world.” His energetic statement came shortly after a challenging weekend in global politics, where tension between the United States and Ukraine made headlines.
Britton emphasized the need for positivity and mutual support, stating that the awards would serve as a strong message of resilience, saying “we’ve got this.” The event attracted over 150 business leaders from across the Thames Valley, ranging from Swindon to Slough, who gathered at Newbury Racecourse to kick off the competition.
Attendees had the chance to network while celebrating the successes of last year’s award winners, including Content Guru, the 2024 Business of the Year, and Green Machine, which earned the Excellence in Sustainability award.
During the launch, Chamber head of business engagement Sarah Irving presented the 12 award categories. This year, four new categories were introduced: Commitment to Skills, Multi-National Business of the Year, Rising Star of the Year, and Excellence in Innovation. The returning categories include:
- SME Business of the Year
- Employer of the Year
- Commitment to the Community
- International Trade Business of the Year
- Most Promising New Business
- Excellence in Customer Service Award
- Best Use of Technology
- Excellence in Sustainability
An overall Thames Valley Business of the Year will be chosen from the category winners.
The competition is open for entries from both members and non-members of the Chamber, and it is free to enter. Interested participants can find the entry form on the Chamber’s official awards platform.
To assist applicants, a free seminar titled “Ace Your Application” will be hosted by Sara Witham from Evil Empire Marketing on March 31. The awards ceremony is set to take place at Easthampstead Park, a country mansion hotel near Bracknell, on July 2.
