A shocking incident occurred in India when a 25-year-old man, Rohitash Kumar, was mistakenly declared dead but was later found to be alive just moments before his cremation. This unusual event took place in Rajasthan, where witnesses confirmed that Kumar, who was deaf and mute, had been taken to a hospital and was declared deceased without a proper post-mortem.
On Thursday, at his cremation site, it became evident to those present that Rohitash was still breathing. His family quickly rushed him back to the hospital, where he unfortunately passed away early Friday morning.
Following this incident, three doctors from the Bhagwan Das Khetan district hospital have been suspended. Reports indicate that Kumar had a seizure and was pronounced dead after his heart stopped while doctors were performing CPR.
A witness described the moment, saying, “It was nothing short of a miracle. We were all in shock to see him alive after being declared dead.” Ramavtar Meena, a government official, referred to the situation as “serious negligence” and emphasized that action would be taken against those responsible.
In response to the grave mishap, a committee has been set up to explore the circumstances surrounding Kumar’s declaration of death and the medical practices involved.
