The re-release of the film Bhaiyaji Superhit, which was set for April 10, has been unexpectedly postponed. This news came from producer Mahendra Dhariwal, who mentioned that the delay was due to "unavoidable circumstances."
In an official statement, Dhariwal expressed regret about the postponement and acknowledged the excitement surrounding the film. He thanked fans for their unwavering support and patience, assuring them that a new release date would be announced soon.
Originally launched in 2018, Bhaiyaji Superhit is an action-comedy directed by Neerraj Pathak. It stars Sunny Deol in a dual role and includes a talented cast featuring Preity G Zinta, Arshad Warsi, Ameesha Patel, and Shreyas Talpade. The film marked Preity Zinta’s return to cinema after a five-year break.
The storyline is set in the vibrant city of Varanasi, following Lal Bhaisahab Dubey, also known as Bhaiyaji (played by Deol), a colorful and fiery local don who dreams of being immortalized in film. To fulfill this dream, he teams up with a flashy Bollywood director, Goldie Kapoor (Arshad Warsi), and an eccentric writer, Tarun Porno Ghosh (Shreyas Talpade). The movie promises a blend of action, comedy, and a unique take on filmmaking as Bhaiyaji’s personal and professional worlds collide.
The anticipation surrounding the film’s return to theaters had excited many fans of classic action-comedy, especially those who have a soft spot for movies from the early 2000s. This re-release gained additional interest following Sunny Deol’s success in 2023 with Gadar 2.
