Eid Release of ‘Sikandar’ Nears with Official Trailer Approval
Excitement is building for the upcoming film ‘Sikandar’, featuring Salman Khan, as it gears up for a grand Eid release. Just days ago, it was revealed that the movie will hit cinemas on Sunday, March 30. Following this news, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has officially approved both the film and its theatrical trailer today, March 21.
The trailer runs for 3 minutes and 38 seconds, while the film itself has a runtime of 150.8 minutes, or just over 2.5 hours. Both pieces have received a UA 13+ rating from the CBFC, a rare achievement for a film and its trailer to be approved on the same day.
With the certification process complete, audiences are eagerly awaiting the trailer’s release, coinciding with the film’s debut. This approval also means that cinemas can begin advance ticket bookings right away.
In addition to Salman Khan, ‘Sikandar’ stars popular actors such as Rashmika Mandanna, Sharman Joshi, and Kajal Aggarwal. The film is directed by A R Murugadoss, known for his work on Ghajini (2008), and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala’s Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
Notably, the film is set to release on a Sunday, which is uncommon. According to sources, the filmmakers believe this is a strategic choice, as March 30 is Gudi Padwa, a significant holiday in Maharashtra. Following that, Ramzan Eid will be celebrated on Monday, March 31, further boosting potential ticket sales. There’s also the expectation of increased ticket sales post-Eid during the following week.
Stay tuned for more updates as the release date approaches.
