RLDatix Expands Its Reach by Acquiring IPeople Healthcare for Enhanced Data Solutions
RLDatix, a leading global company specializing in healthcare safety and data solutions, has announced that it has acquired IPeople Healthcare. This strategic move aims to improve data accessibility and ensure continuity in patient information management.
IPeople Healthcare is recognized for its innovative solutions that allow healthcare providers to maintain uninterrupted access to electronic health records (EHR). These solutions are essential for healthcare staff to provide safe and informed care, especially during system outages when access to information can be disrupted.
Dan Michelson, the CEO of RLDatix, emphasized the importance of reliable access to patient data, stating, “It’s not just a technical requirement; it’s a core aspect of delivering safer and more efficient care.” He noted that combining IPeople’s expertise in data resiliency with RLDatix’s highly-rated data migration and archiving solutions positions the company as a leader in this field. He added that hospitals can now look to RLDatix for comprehensive solutions that keep patient data secure and accessible.
IPeople’s technology also plays a critical role in identifying data silos, which are vital for accessing health information exchanges and analytics platforms. With this acquisition, RLDatix is set to enhance its Galen data migration and archiving services, offering hospitals a wider array of data management options.
The integration of IPeople’s tools with RLDatix’s existing offerings will streamline the process of restoring and syncing patient data when systems come back online, reducing reliance on paper processes during outages. Additionally, this acquisition will bolster support for customers using the MEDITECH electronic medical record system.
Ryan Dickerson, CEO of IPeople, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, calling it a “game-changer” not only for their customers but for the healthcare industry. He remarked that this collaboration would extend their global reach and accelerate their capabilities in providing valuable services to over 400 hospitals. The focus remains on enhancing business continuity and ensuring data resilience, which is crucial for enabling healthcare providers to access essential information for patient care.
This acquisition follows RLDatix’s previous strategic acquisition of the healthcare technology company SocialClimb, made in September 2024, as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen its position in the healthcare technology sector.
