Ajay Devgn Set to Return for Drishyam 3
The popular Drishyam franchise, known for its gripping mystery, continues to capture the hearts of fans in both Malayalam and Hindi. With two successful films already released, the creators are gearing up to produce a third installment. The Malayalam version of Drishyam 3 has already been announced with Mohanlal reprising his role as George Kutty under the direction of Jeethu Joseph. Now, it’s confirmed that Ajay Devgn will return as Vijay Salgaonkar, directed by Abhishek Pathak.
Recent reports suggest that the project is in its early stages, and Ajay Devgn has given his nod to move forward. He plans to start working on Drishyam 3 once he completes his current projects. An insider shared that Ajay was previously committed to a different film slated for July or August but has decided to prioritize Drishyam 3 instead. A couple of weeks ago, Ajay was impressed by the screenplay’s surprises during a narration from Pathak and the writing team, and he is eager to step back into his role.
Ajay has a busy schedule ahead, which includes films like De De Pyaar De 2, Dhamaal 4, and Ranger. The source mentioned that he is booked until the end of 2025 but is looking forward to exploring various genres in his upcoming films, including those in the same franchise.
This announcement follows Mohanlal’s recent social media update, confirming that Drishyam 3 in Malayalam is underway, with scripting already in progress. Given Ajay’s packed timeline, it appears that the Malayalam version might be released before the Hindi version, similar to the previous films.
In addition to these projects, Ajay Devgn is also expected to work on Raid 2 and Son of Sardaar 2 in the near future, further building on his impressive filmography.
