On January 23, reports began circulating that popular singer Monali Thakur had been taken to Dinhata Sub-District Hospital due to a medical emergency during her performance. In response, Thakur took to social media to clear up the confusion, denying the rumors and asking people not to share “false information.” She reassured her worried fans that she is back in Mumbai now.
Monali addressed the situation directly, stating, “I hope you’re doing well. I’m writing this to request that no unverified news about my health be shared. I truly appreciate all the love and concern, but I want to make it clear that I am not dealing with any breathing issues and I was not admitted to any hospital. That’s false information.”
While Monali clarified the extent of her health issues, she explained that she had been feeling unwell after a recent bout with the flu. She mentioned that this led to some sinus and migraine discomfort, especially when traveling. “I was feeling unwell recently due to not getting enough time to recover from a viral infection/flu,” she elaborated.
The singer emphasized that she is now resting and recovering at home in Mumbai. “I’ll be absolutely fine in no time! Let’s not make this bigger than it is, especially when there are much more important things to focus on. Thank you so much for your love and support,” she concluded her statement with warmth and appreciation for her fans.
Initially, eyewitnesses had reported that Monali appeared distressed during her performance at the Dinhata Festival, which led to speculation about her health. Some claims suggested she had difficulty breathing and that an ambulance was called to assist her quickly.
In light of Monali’s clarification, it seems she is on the mend and grateful for the concern expressed by her fans.
