Business Today Teams Up with DP World PGTI to Promote Corporate Golf

Business Today, one of India’s leading business magazines, has joined forces with the DP World Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) in a new partnership that aims to connect the world of business with professional golf. This collaboration was announced during an event at the Qutub Golf Course in New Delhi, which highlighted their shared goal of energizing the sport and making it more accessible to corporate leaders.

The event was graced by former cricket star and golf enthusiast Kapil Dev, who is also the President of DP World PGTI. He participated in a fun pitch-and-putt session along with professional golfers and top editors, marking the relaunch of this prestigious corporate golf tournament. The aim is to enhance the appeal of golf, particularly among business executives, and to create a lively and competitive environment.

This partnership is significant as it merges Business Today’s strong ties to the Indian business landscape with the tournament expertise of DP World PGTI. Together, they plan to increase the visibility of golf and encourage deeper connections among business professionals. The tournament will continue its successful format across various major cities, with intentions to expand to even more locations in the future.

Kapil Dev expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “We want to encourage the corporate world to embrace the values of golf—discipline, patience, and sportsmanship. It’s great to see Business Today and DP World PGTI collaborating to bring the sport to a wider audience.”

Dinesh Bhatia, Group CEO of the India Today Group, shared his thoughts on the partnership, stating, “BT Golf has developed a unique platform that sits at the crossroads of sports and business. Our strengthened partnership with DP World PGTI shows our commitment to enhancing the visibility and engagement of Indian golf for both corporate leaders and sports fans.”

Amandeep Johl, CEO of DP World PGTI, noted the significance of this collaboration, saying, “Our partnership with Business Today merges professional golf with corporate India. BT Golf serves as an excellent platform to showcase the sport and its values. This will also provide our professional golfers with opportunities to connect with prominent business leaders.”

Alok Nair, Chief Operating Officer of Business Today, also spoke on the occasion, highlighting the magazine’s long-standing presence in India’s business community. He said, “For more than 30 years, Business Today has been integral to conversations in the business world. BT Golf is where the corporate sector meets the greens, creating a unique community. Now, as we gear up for the 27th edition starting in Kolkata on October 31 at the historic Tollygunge Club, we look forward to another exciting tournament.”

With this partnership, Business Today and DP World PGTI aim to make golf more engaging and promote it as a vital sport for business leaders in India.
