KT&G Shines at InterTabac 2026 with Massive Exhibition

SEOUL, South Korea – September 23, 2026 – KT&G recently wrapped up its successful participation in InterTabac 2026, the largest trade fair for the tobacco industry, held in Dortmund, Germany, from September 15 to 17. The event showcased KT&G’s global brands and aimed to boost its footprint in the international tobacco arena.

InterTabac is known for being a pivotal platform in the tobacco sector. This year’s fair attracted around 800 companies from over 70 countries, highlighting a diverse array of products, including traditional cigarettes and cigars, along with the latest market trends displayed across 12 exhibition halls. It also provided a valuable opportunity for industry experts from around the world to share insights, expand distribution networks, and explore new business ventures.

KT&G made a significant impact by increasing the size of its exhibition booth to about four times that of last year. The booth featured four distinct zones categorized by product types, showcasing an extensive range of offerings, including prominent cigarette brands like ‘ESSE’ and ‘BOHEM’, alongside New Generation Products (NGP), vapor products, and nicotine pouches.

During the event, KT&G engaged in numerous business meetings with international partners and potential buyers, focusing on collaboration in key markets and identifying new avenues for growth. Attendees had the chance to learn more about KT&G’s diverse brand portfolio through various engaging programs and content.

‘ESSE’, which is KT&G’s flagship brand, hit a remarkable milestone last year by exceeding KRW 1 trillion in overseas sales. The brand is now available in over 90 countries and holds about one-third of the global market for superslim cigarettes. Meanwhile, BOHEM, recognized for its unique use of cigar leaf, is primarily popular in the Asia-Pacific and Latin American regions.

A KT&G representative emphasized the importance of InterTabac, stating, “This trade fair is vital for growing our global network and discovering new opportunities within the industry. Following our participation this year, we plan to continue enhancing KT&G’s presence in international markets.”

KT&G, the maker of the renowned ‘ESSE’ brand, is a leading South Korean enterprise involved in manufacturing NGP (Next Generation Products), health foods, and combustible cigarettes. By the end of 2025, KT&G’s brands were sold in an impressive 140 countries worldwide.
