An Israeli man was arrested in Himachal Pradesh, India, after a bullet cartridge was found in his luggage at Kangra Airport. This incident was reported by various Indian news sources.
During a security check on Tuesday, local police discovered the cartridge, leading to the arrest of the individual. Kulbhushan Verma, the Superintendent of Police for Kangra district, confirmed that a case was filed against him under Section 25(1)(A) of India’s Arms Act of 1959.
According to reports, the man claimed he had no knowledge of the cartridge being in his bag. He mentioned that he had previously used the same luggage while serving in the Israel Defense Forces.
Authorities are now investigating how the cartridge ended up in his possession and are following legal procedures accordingly. Reports indicate that the Israeli national is expected to remain in custody for two days following questioning and a court appearance.
