Akshay Kumar is currently busy filming a new sci-fi survival thriller titled Samuk in London, directed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah. The production team is putting in a lot of effort to ensure the film looks as realistic as possible.
One notable aspect of this production is the use of a real helicopter for a dramatic scene, rather than relying on models or special effects. Rajesh Vasani from Paras Publicity shared that this choice shows the dedication of the makers to their vision.
Vipul Shah is known for his innovative approach to filmmaking, often choosing unconventional topics and avoiding repetitive storylines. Samuk combines elements of science fiction, survival, action, horror, and alien mythology and has been in the works for over two years. The production is also supported by an international technical team, including creature-effects designer Alec Gillis, recognized for his work on the Alien and Predator series, as well as British action expert Luke Tumber.
In a past interview, Vipul mentioned his commitment to traditional filmmaking methods, emphasizing practical shoots and limited use of visual effects to enhance authenticity.
This project marks the seventh collaboration between Akshay Kumar and Vipul Shah, exploring a new genre for both. Vipul expressed excitement about having Akshay return to action films, highlighting his active involvement and passion for the project, which he believes adds to the overall creativity and teamwork on set.
