Hackensack University Medical Center has been recognized as the best hospital in New Jersey, according to the latest rankings from U.S. News & World Report.
This Bergen County facility topped the list of 93 hospitals evaluated across the state and also secured the fourth position in the New York metropolitan area. Out of all hospitals in New Jersey, only 11 met the criteria to be named a Best Regional Hospital.
Hackensack University Medical Center stood out by receiving national rankings in seven adult specialties and five pediatric specialties, in addition to being rated highly in 22 adult procedures and conditions.
Following closely, Morristown Medical Center took the second spot in New Jersey and ranked tenth in the New York metropolitan region. This facility, part of Atlantic Health System, achieved national rankings in three adult specialties and received high-performing ratings in 23 adult procedures and conditions.
Overlook Medical Center in Summit secured third place in the state, tying for 16th in the New York metropolitan area.
Cooper University Hospital in Camden County was ranked fourth in New Jersey and eighth in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
Completing the list of top hospitals, Englewood Hospital was ranked fifth in New Jersey, placing 21st in the New York metropolitan region.
