Excitement Builds for the Ramayana Trailer Release
The countdown is on for the release of the highly anticipated Ramayana trailer, set to drop soon. Today, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) gave the green light to the trailer, creating buzz among fans.
In a surprising turn, the trailer has a duration of 4 minutes and 15 seconds, which is longer than many expected. Usually, trailers run for about 2 to 3 minutes, but this one promises to showcase a more extended glimpse into the film.
The CBFC website features two listings for the Ramayana trailer: one titled “Trailer – Ramayana 3D” and the other “Theatrical Trailer – Ramayana 3D.” The first is the longer version at 4 minutes and 15 seconds, while the second runs for 4 minutes. It remains to be seen which version will be shared online.
This trailer marks the third promotional piece from the Ramayana team. The first was revealed last year on July 3, and earlier this year, fans got a teaser called “Rama” during Hanuman Jayanti, focusing on the main character, Lord Rama, portrayed by Ranbir Kapoor. This teaser was 2 minutes and 38 seconds long and also received a ‘U’ certificate.
The film features a star-studded cast with Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, known for his work on Dangal, and produced by Namit Malhotra, the music for Ramayana is composed by renowned artists A R Rahman and Hans Zimmer. The film will be released in two parts, with the first half set for Diwali 2026 and the second part to follow in 2027.
